Find New Treasures at UAlbany’s Give & Go Program

The end of the spring semester is quickly approaching. As everyone is preparing for finals and additional papers, the pressure of moving out is a hassle for everyone. Leaving campus for summer break means that you must dispose of your unwanted things or lug them all the way home with you, which could be a struggle for people who live far away. Luckily we are hosting a Give & Go program that will allow students to donate their unwanted items and give a chance for others to obtain them.

All old furniture, appliances, clothing, kitchenware, electronics and other household items will be accepted at the UAlbany Give & Go from May 8th to May 18th. One person’s trash is considered another person’s treasure, so we encourage the exchange of items between students and whoever else donates their unwanted items. Check out the infographic below for more details about the UAlbany Give & Go exchange.

The Arnoff HomePAK units will be located on each living quad as well as the apartment areas. Utilize this opportunity for others to reuse your old items so they do not go to waste. Be sure not to donate anything on the NO list. No want will want your dirty underwear or your stinky used mattress pad. But maybe your nifty little kitchen set will look nice on someone else’s table with their own set of friends. Or maybe you just upgraded your TV size to 65 inches and you don’t need that dinky little 32 inch anymore. Send it on over to the Give & Go! You never know what someone might be looking for, and an old piece of junk to you could be a treasure to someone else.
